About Bayleys
From Humble Beginnings
Founded in 1973 by Pam, Graham and John Bayley from their modest family home in Pakuranga, South Auckland, Bayleys is now an enduring and well-respected New Zealand-owned and operated real estate business founded on family and community values.
As a truly inter-generational business with all of the late Pam and Graham’s children and six grandchildren active in the firm today, the corporate family tree has grown to include more than 2,100 staff across 100-plus offices throughout New Zealand and Fiji.
Close to 1,200 sales and leasing agents are supported by valued managers, administrators, marketers, consultants, valuers, trainers, public relations experts, data analysts and auctioneering specialists – all working shoulder-to-shoulder to optimise our clients’ real estate pathway.
The Altogether Better company mantra starts with family and extends as a value system across the business – supporting one another, our loyal clients, and the neighbourhoods and communities we live and work in.
What Makes Bayleys, Bayleys?
It is the people, it is the people, it is the people.
He tangata, he tangata, he tangata.
“Real estate is a relationship business. As we’ve grown, our core values of commitment to service and a passion for delivering the best results, have attracted and united a diverse team of like-minded people who make up the company today.
By concentrating on the fundamentals of knowledge, commitment, service, transparency and best-practice operations, we deliver the type of experience that has clients repeatedly coming back to Bayleys – time and again, and across generations.
As individuals we are strong – as a team, we’re altogether better.”
— John Bayley, Founder
